Both Tara and I have been getting great feedback about Luna Girls. Lots of women state that they wish they had, had something of the like while growing up.  Here is a little sneak peak at our inspiring calendar of events for the month of September.  Also we want to meet and talk to you out there who are interested in Luna Girls.  We will soon have an open house where you can come and meet us and discuss what we are all about.

Every Tuesday night from 6-8 we will do yoga, dance and express  ourselves through movement.  We will have a sharing circle and share food. To further enrich Luna Girls lives we will follow this calendar of events for September. Also on the agenda is asking the girls themselves what it is they are interested in and what they wish to get from the group.

Theme: Gratitude
In many teachings it is said that the secret to happiness is gratitude.  Through our activities for the month of September we will weave a thread of gratitude into our yoga, dance and theatre.  Luna Girls will express their feelings, experiences and thoughts on the subject during our sharing circle.

Tuesday September 13th
Candle making:  Each girl will learn to make their own candle and decorate a wooden stand as a candle holder.  This candle will then be brought home where Luna Girls will create their own meditation space at home.   Girls will also be given a meditation to practice at home and help develop a home practice.

September 20th
Wet Felt a Yoga Mat:  Luna Girls will learn to wet felt their very own meditation mat which they will then use during circle time.  These mats can also be used during their own meditation practice at home.  Wet felting is an ancient art dating 2 000 years.  It’s the process of using warm water, soap and friction with wool batting to create a piece of strong felted material.

September 27th
Making Bread:  In celebration of the Earth’s abundance and what it provides for us we will be learning to make bread from scratch.  This includes grinding grains, kneeding and baking.  Luna girls will then share their efforts with their families.
